Characteristic value Counter (AUSP-ATZHL)

Dear Expert,

 

I have some problem to link data between table AUSP and CAWN / CAWNT.

I have created characteristic/class for equipment and assigned into equipment master.

There are 8 possible values in for characteristic so in the table CAWN there are 8 values which CAWN-ATZHL has value 1-8.

Then when I assigned class with this characteristic to one equipment and selected value number 5, in the table AUSP does not show the correct value. The characteristic value counter (AUSP-ATZHL) is 1. Once I changed the value for this characteristic in the equipment master, the characteristic value counter (AUSP-ATZHL) is switched from 1 to 2 only. It seems that AUSP-ATZHL is not linked to CAWN-ATZHL.

characteristic value still shows in rcutableinfo but not in va02

Design used the wrong characteristic value and wanted to change.  So the correct one was put in and then chosen in the sales order.  If you look at changes in va02 you can see where the new one was chosen.

 

After removing the old from a dependency and deleting the value in ct04 a pop up shows it is still used but only in class type 300 and not in any configurations (orders).  You can still delete it despite the warning.

 

Executed RCUTABLEINFO for the sales order and it still shows the old value under IBSYMBOL for the atinn atnam.

looking at CAWN the value is not there of course as it was deleted on purpose in CT04.

 

So something is not committing in a sales order configuration object on change.

 

Is there a consistency check or cleanup for this?

Higher number of assignments (ANZUO) for table KLAH

Dear Experts,

 

Need your suggestion about one requirement.

It is about table KLAH and field ' No. of assgmts'.

Field name = ANZUO . Data element = ANZUOR.

 

This field is of type numeric with length = 5.

 

which means, in table KLAH, maximum of 99999.

 

Actually, in our client's business, few classes having more than 99999 objects.

Thus, those classes are not being selected to view in table KLAH as the value of the field ANZUO is more than 99999.

 

Is there any way to increase the max value of this field ANZUO (Number of assignment) of table KLAH? May be upto 6 or 7 numeric value?

This is the requirement.

Any SAP Note related to this !

Pricing based on Variant configuaration/Variant condition records

Hi All,

 

Could you please suggest me how to configure the below requirements:

 

We have variant based pricing and currently there is only one variant which is used for pricing in sales order. Say X

 

There is another Variant Y for the same material & Plan is to use this for pricing too.

 

Condition records of both variants are maintained in the same access sequence.

 

Presently the configuration is in place and both variants are appearing in the sales order.

 

Plan is to have only one pricing activated in the sales order( for which the condition record is maintained)

 

If both condition records are maintained, logic has to pick Y variant.

 

Your inputs will be appreciated.

Doubt on Variant table update activity hand over to users.

Classification Team,

 

We have objective to hand over the variant table update work tothe users.

Almost more 400 tables we have and right now most of the required logic weare achieving through the variant table only.

 

In this project I am having some doubts, which I want to clear before the process further.

Please team guideme on the same.

 

  • When we hand over the variant table to the users, I want to restrict the user not to disturb my existing data.

        He/she should be able to update only new table entry.

        Note: Only in special cases with approval, they can edit the old existing data.

 

  • Link database table to variant table can be helpful and improve my table performance?
  • I want to restrict the user not to enter any unknown value for that characteristic.

       Ex - If the data type is character so if user want to enter " * " intentionally or unintentionally. I want to restrict that kind of testing.

  • As we know our variant table is master data, which is client dependent, so here we are using an ALE process to move master data.
  • Is it reasonable to give ALE rights to the user? If not, then is there any other option we have so we can stop passing wrong master data to the production client.

 

From the above point any of the point clarification if you have please guide me on the same.

Apart from above listed any new suggestion if any one have, please suggest.

Material classification with plant as additional key

Hello!

 

We want to clasify our materials with additional keys. Some keys are classic organisational entities like plant,

sales organisation and destribution channel another extra key would be country. We were abel to create the extra

classes with the extra keys, but couldn't find a way to integrate those in MM02. I managed to integrate the class

with the country as extra key in MM02, but I can not change the country field in MM02, so I'm maintaining data

with the field country empty.

 

Is there any way to integrate a class that has the key material number and plant in transaction MM02 with full functionality?

Dependency code to count characteristics values

Hi All,

 

I have particular requirment with object dependency code.Say we have two characteristics assigned to a class .

The first characteristics values would have multiple values entered on it(For eg1st value=1001,2nd values=1002,3rd value=1003)

I need the second characteristics value to count the number of characteristics values in it.(Result to be populated=3).

Material Variant, basic data 2 vs MRP 3

Hi,

       This is a great explanation of what I am looking for.  I just have a couple of items for clarification.  You mention both the basic data 2 tab and MRP 3 tab for linking to the configurable product.  I am not sure when to use one vs the other.  Would you ever use both?  Also, on the sales order entry, rather than starting with the configurable product and then checking for the material variant, you can just directly put the material variant on the order, right?   I have a configurable product which serves to essentially bundle a group of finished products together in one catalog product.   Building on your example of the BIKE, I have a BIKE-KIT, which includes different helmet options, jersey options, and shoe options in addition to the bike itself.  I want to make a material variant of this configuration, using the customers material number,  that is setup as a make to order.  We have the bike, helmets, jerseys, and shoes stocked so when we receive the order for the material variant,  we just have to pull each component from stock and ship it.  Is following your example using the MRP3 tab for configuring the variant a best practice for this scenario?

Hi,

 

is there a User-Exit or BADI to chang the Defaul characteristic value.

Ex: when i start configuration in VA01 and the customer Comes from spain

i will not have FARBE = ROT as default but BLAU as default.

 

Is this possible?

Hi

 

i have scenario

 

class; BIKES  defined

 

Characteristics : ( all are set)

TWCOLOUR

START

WHEEL

TYRES

BPRICE

BMODEL

 

i have to define dependency that when i select TWCOLOUR = RED , START= BUTTON START , WHEEL = MAC WHEEL WITH DISC BREAK, TYRES= MRF TYRE , BMODEL = CTZN then BPRICE  should automatically select 90000 using dependency.

 

Can you please guide how shall i write this dependency. please provide me in details

Cross Plant Config Material Characteristics Value Change

Hi Experts

 

We are using Cross Plant config Material in Basic Data 2 and MRP3 views. In the configure variant tab, we need to do mass change of characteristics values.

 

I found CLMM t-code for class characteristics values mass change. But this doesn't allow the above config related characteristics value.

Can anyone help me how I can change the characteristics values inside the Configure variant tab in mass.

 

Also would like to know which table will have these values. It is not found in AUSP table.

Is it compulsory to transfer variant table data to database table.

Classification Team,

 

We have some interval data (Ex- >= 045, >= 0.50....), which we can not transfer from variant table to database table.

 

Right now what I am thinking that same database I will maintain in another application called data consolidation and transfer that data to database table.

And that database table will be linked to a variant table database.

 

Is it suggestablesolution?

Or anyhow, when we link variant table to a database table, we have to transfer one time data from the variant table to database table?

 

This process change of data transfer can impact to the existing logic of dependency and dependency net?

 

Please guys if anyone has any clue which can improve my thinking process for the solution, suggest me.

Variant configuration - Single dependency for all components

Hi...

 

I have super BOM which contains all the components and based on one characteristic value, Bom components are varying.. In this case we need to create an Object dependency for each component in the Super Bom. My requirement is I want to create a single OD which will be assigned to the all components of the Bomthat can call the Reference characteristic from table.

Variant configuration t.code CU50 all BOM characteristics will display not a variant BOM

In Invariant configuration  t.code CU50 while click on result  button all the BOM is display . It has to display only variant BOM which i selected one. Kindly do the needful.pl find the screen shot.

Some indicators missing in PPM item page

Hi All,

 

I have an issue in the ITEM page in PPM, as shown in the attachment in DEV system the page displays the indicators with budget status, scheduling status and other indicators, but in Q system and PRD system  these indicators are not appearing, as I am new to this module I am not aware of the configurations I need some inputs to solve this issue.

Inconsistent characteristic value assignment error

Hi,

 

I am new to VC and working for Steel Industry.

 

I want to do characteristic Value Assingment using MM01/MM02 - MRP3 view - > clicked Configure Variant.

 

The error shows as :

 

Inconsistent characteristic value assignment

Message no. C1821

 

The characteristic conflict shows for the characteristic Grade.

 

I have created the below masters.

 

Characteristics (CT04)

Class type 300 with Characteristics (CL02)

Material Master Classification assigned the class type 300 (MM01/MM02)

Configurable Material (MM01)

Dependency - (CU01/CU02)

Configuration Profile (CU41/CU42)

 

 

Anybody can please help me to solve this issue.
