BAPI for Creating Sales Order For Variant Configuration Materials

Dear Gurus,

 

Before posting this thread, we have referred many SDN threads, OSS notes and other sites for any sort of help..but no success..All threads and other referrals are not much of help as they are kind of incomplete( Perhaps, we are unable to understand them..no offense).

Well, we're using the BAPI (BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2) which creates the sales order successfully but without the characteristic values in line items.

We're passing data to the following parameters - ORDER_CFGS_REF, ORDER_CFGS_INST, ORDER_CFGS_VALUE to create the variant config but not able to see it getting created.

 

Pls find attached BAPI coding document for your reference.

 

If you could throw any light on this issue will be of great help for us.

Automatic generation variant configurated

Dear Gurus,

i would like to know if there is a standard program or FM / BADis in order to create automatically the variant material after configuration in sales order.

I know in AFS system the FERT CONFIGURATION functionality but in R3 system i don't know if there is a similar funcionality.

mass change characteristic value

Hi,

 

I've Created Characteristic - size - with charcateristic values 10 , 20 & Assigned to CLASS: CLASS TYPE 001, this i've assigned in material master - in classification tab & have set SIZE= 10.

 

i want to change  characteristic value from 10 to 20, In 5000 materials numbers


i'm unable to see classification tab details in MASS tcode
can you Pls. suggest how i can mass change characteristic value in material master.

Not getting all batches that are available while checking using CL30N

Hi SAP Gurus,

 

When I use T.code CL30N for a Class and Class type to find Object in classes for a vendor batch number (to find material batches for vendor batch number)  I am not getting all batches available in this list (ie., in Find objects in class) 

 

Since when I check one batch using MSC3N, I could see the same vendor batch number (but this is not getting displayed in CL30N).

 

I request your valuable inputs to overcome this issue.

 

I have attached screenshot of CL30N and MSC3N

Varian Master Data Maintenance after transactions

Dear Experts,

 

How to handle master data change in VC after transaction on live system?

 

We are working on material variant concept so VC is only at sales, we use KMAT in sales order to replace with FERT (Material Variant)

 

master data change possibilities could be

1. Addition of new characteristics

2. Deletion of Char Value

3. Addition of new char in Class

4. Deletion of char from class

5. Configuration profile change

6. KMAT change in material variant

 

Please suggest the standard way to mange these activities, as a single change can affect multiple material variants against KMAT.

Dependency writing in VC

Hi

 

i have scenario

 

class; BIKES  defined

 

Characteristics : ( all are set)

TWCOLOUR

START

WHEEL

TYRES

BPRICE

BMODEL

 

i have to define dependency that when i select TWCOLOUR = RED , START= BUTTON START , WHEEL = MAC WHEEL WITH DISC BREAK, TYRES= MRF TYRE , BMODEL = CTZN then BPRICE  should automatically select 90000 using dependency.

 

Can you please guide how shall i write this dependency. please provide me in details

Triggering a characteristic value automatically based on another value

Hello VC Experts.

 

Need to know in VC if I can trigger a characteristic value automatically for a particular characteristic if I select a value in another characteristic.

 

An example would be I have selected value 850 for my characteristic hardisk

Based on the above value selected. The second value should get automatically populated of another characteristic. In this case the value tower should come automatically. I am thinking it is possible using selection condition however just wanted to confirm with the experts if this can be done without any coding logic.

Scenario of Constraints in Restrictions not Working in Simulation

Hello All,

 

I have created the following class.

The class contains the following characteristics values.

The object dependency code is written in the dependency net and saved without errors.

The object dependency is assigned to the configuration profile.

 

Capture70.PNG

The dependency net is assigned to the configuration profile in cu42 transaction code.

When I try to simulate the scenario in cu50 transaction code the system does not throw any inconsistency message nor does the red symbol for constraints appear.

Please advice if I am missing out on any configurations.

want to re-calculate EK02 (Variant costing) at the invoice level in MTO

Hi Experts,

 

still no suitable answer to my query.

 

i have created a copy of condition EK02 (ZVAR) for variant component costing in MTO scenario with Super BOM Variant config.

 

The issue is, the standard function module CKKA_COSTING_PROCESS which is used to calculate the variant costing  / component costing is called only at the time of sales order level which calculates the variant costing and populates the value into the sales order.

 

The standard logic makes my ZVAR condition automatically MANUAL ENTRY in the sales order and at the time of invoice it just copies the value from the sales order as it is. but the condition VPRS (finished product cost) is getting re-determined and getting adjusted against the ZVAR.

 

I want my ZVAR condition (condition category Q) to be re-calculated at the time of my invoice also if at all there are cost changes in the variant components between the sales order and invoice.

 

Can anyone help me in this? is there any SAP note or any standard config that i can do to achieve this.

 

One more question, WHY IS MY CONDITION BEING POPULATED AS MANUAL ENTRY EVEN WHEN ITS NOT MANUAL??? there kis no "Z" and the program is a standard program.

CU51-ORDER BOM Issue, BOM is held at contract level .

Hi Experts,

I have a question regarding BOM explosion for VC ( KMAT) materials.

In our process we do create commercial contracts and configure the materials and then reference the materials into sales orders using variant configuration.

Issue is BOM is held at contract level as it has been configured on contract level.

Scenario– process followed is creation of  Master contract –  then created Contract –then created Sale order now in sale order configuration is available .

we want to process this sale order in CU51 then CS62 And finally production order.

Issue- In CU51 Entering sale order getting error. -- Maintain the order BOM for order item xxxxxx  (reference). Message no. CX094

 

pls find below details for reference.

MRP groups are used.

MTO- ZXX

Acct Assgt Cat.—D  Indiv.cust./project is used.

Reqmt class- special stock –E

MRP Type- P1

BOM application-PP01

CS61 We are not using as BOM needs to be created manually from scratch so all components ,Dep, need to be created manually which is time-consuming and is giving a high error proneness.

pls suggest how to resolve this issue.

and best practice to follow.

Syntax Errors in Procedure Condition in Object Dependency.

Hello All,

 

I need to trigger multiple values in the characteristic assignment block on selecting one characteristic value.I have created the class and assigned the characteristics to it.

The requirement is that when I select the value for 850 harddisk. The values Tower, 8GB Ram and 16GB Ram should come automatically.Capture38.PNG

Simulate order routing like tcode CU50

Hi Gurus

 

I have a requirement very special.

 

I need to simulate que order routing of a comercial document that has no yet created an production order. This simulation is perfectly recrated on transaction CU50, because it gives me the resulting routing based on the sales document configuration.

 

Now what I need, is a way to replicate/use the CU50 transaction on an abap program that retrieves the resulting simulation routing of several sales documents.

 

I don't know if this is posible via LSMW o FM o BAPIs

 

 

hope someone have a useful idea.

Issue when Transferring BOM Quantity Values to Superior Item

Hello All,

 

I need to transfer the BOM Quantity values which are created in the bills of material to my superior material as characteristic values. Following are the configurations performed.

 

Created characteristic Quantity and assigned the same to the class

Now when I am writing the object dependency code using a procedure condition in cu01 transaction code the system throws an error.Capture2.PNG

Transfer of characterstic values from class 300 to class 023

Hi ,

I have configurable material , and 2 classes of class type 300 and 023 are attached to it, name for classes are same and it have same set of characteristic.

when I create a sales order I can assign values to configuration as well as generate Batch.

but after MRP run when I convert plan order to production order , few characteristic values are getting disappeared.

when I confirm order and checked the batch it have no values at all.

so can some one know , why the transfer of characteristic values are not happening?

I am assuming that as name of classes and characteristic are identical , values assign at higher class ( 300) will be automatically copied to lower class (023).

Do I need to define something in configuration or apply some note?

Simulation Mode not working when Transferring BOM Quantity Values to Superior Item

Hello All,

 

I have created the following characteristic and assigned the same to class

The character has the following values

Bills of material have been created for the superior configurable item.

The object dependency has been written in cu03 transaction code to transfer the quantity in the bills of material to the characteristic values of the superior item

The object dependency code has been assigned to the configuration profile

However when I check the  result in simulation mode. The value 3 is not coming automatically which needs to be set in the characteristic value of the superior item (summation of the qty of the bills of material created in cs03)

Consumption of Configurable SFG into Configurable FG

Hi Gurus,

 

Below are the table in which I have created the FG, SFG, Charaterisctis, class, , Startegies and relationship

 

Material FG SFG
Charateristics  Created IM4, IM5, IM6IM4,IM5,IM6
Class used 300300
Relationship If Sales Order is created for FG (IM4)
then FG(IM4) should consume SFG(IM4)
Strategies Used 2020

 

 

Requirment - customer ordered for FG IM4=100 KG, sales will create Sales order for FG IM4=100KG, After MRP Run system creates the Planned order for FG and SFG, convert 1st SFG planned order into Process order and start production, How system will know that it has to pick SFG (IM4) ? where we can make this relationship and where we will confirue at the time of Sales order.

Retain user entered values in Variant configuration of sales order

Hi,

 

I have requirement while creating the sales order. when I entered a material during sales order creation, system respond to another screen for maintain the Characteristic value assignment. After entering characteristic value, Material will be changed to configured material (KMAT) in the line item based on the characteristic value assignment. Once the material is changed, the characteristic values in characteristic value assignment is refreshed based on the configuration of the configured material. But I want to retain the user values which is entered earlier.  I need the user exit or badi for achieving this. This concept is related to Variant Configuration in sales order.
