A way to mass change "sort item" field in Assignments table (classification view)

Hi,

 

I have a few classes at material level, in classification view. For example: class "PLANT", class "PACK" and class "GENERAL".

In each material the sort of classes, in assignments table, can be different (in material A class "PLANT" can be first, but in material B class "Plant" can be second (after class "PACK" for example)).

I would like to change the location of classes, so class "PLANT" will be first in all materials, class "PACK" will be second in all materials and etc...

In order to organize the sort of classes in each material, I know that I need to change the nuumber in "sort item" field, in assignment table, in classification view.

But I have thousand of items and I would like to do it with mass change.

 

Do you have any idea how can I do it?

Value of characteristic greater than 100 characters

Hello,

 

I would like to create a characteristic with free text, which will get more than 100 chars. I know that a regular definitions enable only 30 chars. Is there a way to do it?

CLMM and multiple value characteristic assignment

Hi experts!

 

I've recently been asked to update many materials with a new characteristic value for a multiple-value characteristic.

 

Here's my issue:  All of the materials currently have assignments within this multiple-value characteristic.  I have tried using CLMM but cannot determine a way to add a new value to an object that already has classification (without overwriting all that is there already).

 

So, for example, I have this:

 

Material A1

     Class BOX

          Cstic STAMP

               Value UL

               Value CE

               Value UPC

 

And I want to use CLMM to change to this:

 

Material A1

     Class BOX

          Cstic STAMP

               Value UL

               Value CE

               Value UPC

               Value POSTAGE

 

There are many materials, and not all have the same values across the board.  Is there a way to use CLMM to achieve the above, or will I have to pursue another route?

Characteristic - Change Overview

I created one charatceristic using t-code CT04. The same is included in class type 300 using t-code CL02. Again this characteristic is classified in one more class (Class Type 012) by another user. This is done using t-code CT04 --> Menu Goto --> Classification. Where can I get the information which user classified this characteristic in class type 012 and when it is done.

Setting default value in multivalue characteristics

Dear gurus,

i need to setting with a procedure two or more default value for a characteristic multivalue.

 

I used the following syntax :

 

$SET_DEFAULT ($SELF, <characteristic>, <string>)

 

 

but i need to setting simultaneously two values because in the next procedure i would like to check the value specified or not, and if i use the different row as decribed below :


$SET_DEFAULT ($SELF, a, value1 )

$SET_DEFAULT ($SELF, a, value2 )


i can't try this situation.

Therefore my question is : is possible setting for car a the value 1 and value 2 with the same procedure?


$SET_DEFAULT ($SELF, a, value1, value 2 ) ? for example?

Report of Characteristics Value for Multiple Materials

Dear Techies,

 

We have a 300 Class type which is assigned to the Material Master Classification view and have values assigned to the Materials. Now I would like to retrieve a report of a Characteristics Value for my required selection of Materials (Nearly 20 Materials). Is there any report where we can retrieve the Report of the Characteristics value for these required 20 Materials.

 

Please provide your inputs.

F4 Help for Characteristics

Hi Experts,

 

I have created a characteristic 'Department' and when I assign the table 'T527O' in the Value tab it gives an error " Check table T527O has too many key fields".

 

In the error it says that "Check tables with more than one key field are not supported. However,

if  you enter a function module for checking values, you can refer to any check table in your own coding."

 

I am able to see one radio button called "Function Module" when I click on Other Value Check on Value tab, but do not know how to use that.

Could anyone please guide me in this.

 

My requirement is:

1. create a characteristic called department.

2. link it to a class,

3. while creating a document in CV01N the f4 help should be available in department field.

for example I have button set obsolute , but in sap documentation there is nothing with this name.

Requester Information in Maintenance Notification

A user has created a M1 Maintenance Notification.

The basic information of the user is nor being shown in the M1 Maintenance Notification, like his/her department, email, Tel no. etc. And i assume that such information will not be displayed in notification reports though.

 

What may be the solution to this?

Variant Configuration - Procedure vs Precondition

Hi,

 

The issue is the following. I have to constraint the values of a characteristics taking into account the values of the predecesor caharatericti but instead of making a Precondition for each characteristic value I'd prefer to create one procedure for the chararacteristic.

In fact, i've created one procedure and it works, but not as i'd like. I mean, depite the characteristica value of the predecesor characteristica the system shows me all the values of the following characteristic although it only able me two select the correct one (if I chose any incorrect value the systems shows me an inconsistency).

 

I'd like that, via procedure, depending on the value selected in the previos characteristic the system ONLY displays the valid values in the following caharacterisitc as it occurs with individual preconditions.

 

That's my code.

VC charateristics value

Dear expert,

 

I even read the VC books, still not get it.

 

My case is not required a material,

 

Class 300: ZTEST

 

Characteristics:

ZIGS_GRSKG  : Gross Weight

ZIGS_TARKGL Tare Weight

ZIGS_Netweight: Net Weight

 

 

When I maintain the first two values (I use IE01 to create equipment and assign class 300 ZTEST to this equipment), the third one can be calculated

ZIGS_Netweight = ZIGS_GRSKG - ZIGS TARKGL

 

 

I got confused, which dependency type (precondition, selection, action or procedure) should use, and this dependency should assign to which characteristic, tried many times, none of them seems work.

 

I appreciate if anyone could help me out .

Variant Configuration-Characteristics

Dear All,

 

I have a scenario in Variant Configuration wherein we have defined two values for an attribute (characteristic) of a product, the characteristic being "Delivery_Option". The values for Delivery Option are "2-3 Business Days" and "Next Business Day".

 

Our client is asking that their customer should not be able to use the Next Business Day option for that particular product if his order quantity is more than 4000 units. This project has an integration with WebSphere Commerce which is being used to run client website for customers to place orders on that, so customer should not be able to select the option "Next Business Day" when he places orders online for more than 4000 units. If it can be acheived in SD module, then we will customize so that it can be achieved in the WC environment for the customer.

 

Kindly suggest if through SD module it can be acheived or not.

Simulation Mode not working when Transferring BOM Quantity Values to Superior Item

Hello All,

 

I have created the following characteristic and assigned the same to class

The character has the following values

Bills of material have been created for the superior configurable item.

The object dependency has been written in cu03 transaction code to transfer the quantity in the bills of material to the characteristic values of the superior item

The object dependency code has been assigned to the configuration profile

However when I check the  result in simulation mode. The value 3 is not coming automatically which needs to be set in the characteristic value of the superior item (summation of the qty of the bills of material created in cs03)

Hi,

 

I've Created Characteristic - size - with charcateristic values 10 , 20 & Assigned to CLASS: CLASS TYPE 001, this i've assigned in material master - in classification tab & have set SIZE= 10.

 

i want to change  characteristic value from 10 to 20, In 5000 materials numbers


i'm unable to see classification tab details in MASS tcode
can you Pls. suggest how i can mass change characteristic value in material master.

Type Match in Customer Independent requirement

Hi:

 

We change our business from MTO to MTS for VC materials..then we use CIR(customer independent requirement)to trigger production..But seems VC material is not replace by variant in MD81? It works fine in VA01(sales order creation)...

 

 

Do I need to make some enhancement or MD81 doesn't support type matching?thanks..

How to remove link between Superior and Subordinate class with inherited characteristics

Hi All,

I am trying to resolve an issue within classifcation which is causing us an issue.

We have around 200 classes which live in a hierarchy.

ZPM1_OEM is the Superior and then;

 

ZPM2_OEM_ABC;

ZPM2_OEM_DEF;

ZPM2_OEM_GHI etc are the subordinates.

 

The classes have around 50000 materials assigned with charactersitics and values.

 

In one instance we have (by mistake) assigned the superior class as a subordinate of the subordinate class such that ZPM2_OEM_SIDEL has ZPM1_OEM assigned as it's subordinate class. Further the Characteristics assigned to ZPM1_OEM have been inherited from ZPM2_OEM_SIDEL.

 

I am trying to resolve the problem by deleting the class assignment from ZPM1_OEM (using CL22N). However when I try and do so I get the following error: 

 

The assignment cannot be deleted

 

You want to delete an allocation. However, the characteristics of the superior class are inherited by a subordinate classes in the class hierarchy, and values have been assigned to these characteristics.

 

 

I have since removed all the ZPM2_OEM_XXXX classses from materials but I am still unable to remove the link. I am also unable to delete the class or the charactersitics due to inconsistences.

 

Can anyone advise how I can resolve this issue?
